Is it okay for women and LGBTQIA+ people to be ordained?

Pastor Adam Ericksen responds to two questions from Emma – “Is it okay for women and LGBTQIA+ people to be ordained?” and “How to interpret the Bible?” The Bible never says it is the Word of God. Scripture does say, “The Word was made flesh.” The Word made flesh was Jesus. Jesus is the Word of God.

The first woman ordained to preach the resurrection was Mary. In Galatians, Paul says there is no longer male or female, we are all one. Paul trusted Phoebe to deliver the letter to the Romans and teach the members there what Paul meant. These acts support the ordination of woman and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
